Projeto que isenta medicamentos do imposto de importação vai à sanção

Limite é US$ 10 mil, por pessoa física para uso próprio ou individual

O Plenário do Senado aprovou nesta quarta-feira (4) o Projeto de Lei (PL) 3.449/2024, que permite ao Ministério da Fazenda zerar as alíquotas do imposto de importação para medicamentos no Regime de Tributação Simplificada.

O limite para isenção é US$ 10 mil, cerca de R$ 57 mil, para importação por pessoa física para uso próprio ou individual. Aprovado pela Câmara dos Deputados em outubro, o texto segue para sanção presidencial.

O PL, de autoria do deputado José Guimarães (PT-CE), incorpora o texto das medidas provisórias (MPs) 1.236/2024 e 1.271/2024, sobre o tema de tributação simplificada, e da MP 1.249/2024, sobre o Programa Mover.

O relator, senador Cid Gomes (PSB-CE), apresentou parecer favorável à proposta e rejeitou todas as emendas apresentadas. “Optamos por rejeitar todas as emendas para que o projeto não tenha que retornar para a Câmara dos Deputados, uma vez que sua aprovação demanda urgência e consequente positivação em lei”, justificou.
