Taxa de desemprego fica em 11,2% em fevereiro

Índice é inferior ao do trimestre móvel encerrado em novembro

A taxa de desocupação no país atingiu 11,2% no trimestre móvel de dezembro de 2021 a fevereiro deste ano. O índice é inferior aos observados no trimestre findo em novembro (11,6%) e no trimestre encerrado em fevereiro do ano passado (14,6%).

O dado, da Pesquisa Nacional por Amostra de Domicílios Contínua (PNAD Contínua), foi divulgado hoje (31) pelo Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE).

A população desocupada também recuou e chegou a 12 milhões de pessoas no trimestre encerrado em fevereiro, 3,1% abaixo do trimestre anterior (encerrado em novembro), ou seja, 389 mil pessoas a menos. Na comparação com o mesmo trimestre do ano passado (encerrado em fevereiro de 2021), a queda foi de 19,5%, ou menos 2,9 milhões de pessoas.

A população ocupada (95,2 milhões) manteve-se estável em relação ao trimestre anterior, mas cresceu 9,1% na comparação com o mesmo trimestre do ano passado.
